Though no official confirmation has been made by the film's producers, The Economic Times reported that Netflix acquired the digital rights for Pushpa 2 across all languages for Rs 270 crore.
The highly anticipated sequel, Pushpa 2 : The Rule, following the 2021 hit Pushpa: The Rise , is set to hit theaters on December 6, 2024.
Ahead of its release, the film has already generated an incredible Rs 900 crore from the sale of digital and satellite rights, according to News18, putting it among the highest-grossing Indian films in pre-release business.
By comparison, the digital rights for Pushpa: The Rise were sold to Amazon Prime Video for Rs 50 crore.
Meanwhile, Pushpa: The Rise currently stands as the eighth highest-grossing Telugu film of all time, amassing Rs 360.8 crore worldwide, as per IMDb.
